The police authorities of Bulgaria proceeded to arrest seven people connected to a migrant trafficking network to Europe as well as to the tragic death of 18 people inside a truck that they had abandoned.
All of them died of suffocation.
Also, according to the Bulgarian media, one more person involved in the case fled to Greece. The BtA reports that the accused left Bulgaria as soon as the case started making headlines.
A European arrest warrant is pending against him.
Currently 19 people are in hospital. Eight were discharged. Most of them were accommodated in the state agency for Refugees.
The authorities’ investigations are ongoing.
